"We found out at a 20-week ultrasound that our little one had Spina Bifida and would most likely be paralyzed from the waist down. The option to terminate was of course presented by many specialists. We were horrified by the callousness of a society that therefore implies that a disabled/handicapped life is somehow less valuable than others.
Today our little sweetheart is just over 20 months old and brings us so much joy and she has charmed the lives of so many friends and family members. Her name is Shaye which means 'God's gift', and that's truly what she is to us." - Jon & Sharon
